Seniorcize: This fun and exciting fitness program includes line dancing, salsa and non-impact aerobices combined with abdominal and flexibility exercises. Great for the beginner to intermediate fitness levels.
Fitness in the Workplace (FITW): Are you too busy to get away from the office? We're bringing our services to you! This is an excellent program for those desiring to exercise at work, just beginning a workout or who have not been able to make it to our classes at the Fitness Center.
Cardio Kick: This format uses the movement of boxing, punching, and kicking in a non-contact cardiovascular program. Cardio Kick also includes muscle conditioning to strengthen and tone the entire body with the use of various equipment. This class is a high-intensit class but is also great for a beginner.
Chisel: Chisel is a weight lifting class designed to strengthen the major muscle groups of the body. Exercises like squats for the thighs, curls for biceps and upright rows for shoulders and back are utilized in sessions to tone these targeted muscle areas. The class is performed at an energetic pace accompanied by an upbeat sound. Barbells and dumbbells are set at a low weight but can be adjusted by the user as this class focuses on a strict amount of repititions.
Indoor Cycling: A class that can be solely dedicated to fat burning and gaining complete mind body connection for optimal health and fitness. Because of the use of heart rate monitors in class, this cardio workout is best suited for anyone and everone at any level of fitness.
Karate: This class combines modern methods of martial arts training to include physical conditioning, agility drills and self-defense techniques.
Senior Fitness: This is an excellent one-hour class for those 55 or older, utilizing a set of two-pound weights and a chair. This class is designed to improve strength, flexibility, diminish arthritic conditions and improve balance and coordination. This class can be modified to accommodate all senior age groups and fitness levels and also the physically challenged.
All About Abs: This is an abdominal workout that will strengthen your lower, upper and oblique abdominal muscles. This class is jam-packed with exercises to help you achieve and six-pack and get the abdominal muscles you want.
Evening Circuit: Boost up your exercise routine by firming, toning, and improving your cardiovascular endurance with others. Circuit encompasses a variety of different exercises each session throughout the year. Class exercises are typically changed every six weeks to keep you on your toes. Circuit consists of four stations and within each station there are three strength exercises and one cardio exercise. Each participant spends 40 seconds on each exercise before rotating to the next station. To complete the class, participants will perform 48 consecutive exercises! Whatever your fitness level, every participant is working together in one group class setting.
Senior Circuit: One hour interval training class for those of any age willing and able! This will be a great way to burn fat and boost your metabolism. Each interval is for 40-90 seconds and consists of cardiovascular activities and upper and lower body exercises. The class is taught at three levels so that everyone can keep up.
Power Base A & B: This is a great way to get your weight lifting program finsihed in 45 minutes! Utilizing an instructor-led class environment, Power Base touches on all major muscle groups to give you what you want when you need it! Class A & B will not be identical. Come to both classes for challenging and muscle-specific exercises that will assist you in enjoying a well-rounded healthy lifestyle.
Pilates: This method of exercise focuses on the “core” or torso of the body. In 45 minutes of challenging moves you will begin to build strength and agility to advance your workout program. This is a low impact class that will challenge your “powerhouse” muscles (abdominals) to the max! Providing a relaxing atmosphere, you will come out of this class refreshed and relaxed!
Circuit Training: This class consists of multiple stations to achieve a total body workout. Each station will focus on a different body part, allowing you to push yourself and reach new goals. With the variety of exercises and the steady flow from one exercise to another, time will just fly by. Come join us for a total body workout that is both challenging and exciting. Class size is limited to the first 14 people.
