The Commercial Sponsorship Program connects local, regional and national businesses with the DSCC community through MWR programs and facilities. The term Commercial Sponsorship is military terminology, unique to the Department of Defense and is used to identify a program known in the civilian business community as Event Marketing or Special Events Sponsorships. A Department of Defense policy gives the MWR Division permission to seek Commercial Sponsorship of base events, programs and activities. Business and corporate entities can access the desirable and lucrative DSCC market through sponsorship of MWR events on DSCC in exchange for public relations, advertising and merchandising opportunities.

There are two types of Commercial Sponsorships. Solicited sponsorships are formal competitive solicitations by the MWR Division requesting sponsorship of a specific MWR event or program. Unsolicited sponsorships occur when a commercial entity approaches MWR activities with a sponsorship proposal to support a specific event or program. Please note that gifts, donations or contributions are not commercial sponsorship and, therefore, will not receive the same public recognition.

Your investment in MWR programs and activities is a vital part of our future, and we invite you to become an active partner. The mission of the MWR Division is to continuously improve the quality of life for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, civilians, and their families. We support this mission with the implementation of many fine recreation and leisure activities. Sponsorship of one or more of these activities affords you an opportunity to promote your products and services through signage, advertising or product displays and sampling. All sponsorship packages can be tailored to meet your individual goals and needs.

Programs available for sponsorship include the Fun Fest held each summer, the base-wide holiday party each December, numerous golf tournaments throughout the season, and other special events open to the DSCC community.
